Wet Tropics is a World Heritage Site Organisation in Queensland, Australia.
The newly forged relationship is expected to be formalized in December this year.
Lake Tegano's major communities are Hutuna, Tegano, Niupani and Tevaitahe.
The communities' representatives were told of this new development at a recent Lake Tegano World Heritage Site Awareness meeting.
The meeting was also to enable the Lake Tegano World Heritage Site Association report to the community representatives of a three-week Look and Learn trip the Association paid to Australia recently.
