Minister Koli who is Minister for Health and Medical Services made the call yesterday following reports that a dispute over the ownership of the airstrip land is brewing between the indigenous people and the Are'are speaking people of Marau.
He encouraged the people to continue with the dialogue so that an amicable solution can be reached.
Mr. Koli said that the people of the Visinoru should allow the airstrip to be re-opened so that travelers can carry on with their usual business travels between Honiara and Marau, and vice versa, while talks are in place.
He stressed that business activities, such as tourisms, must be allowed to continue operating because they are source of income for the people of Marau.
