He said the alleged dubious land dealings impact on sites the Government requires for its housing projects in Honiara and in the provincial centres.
Dr. Sikua said because of the serious allegations against lands officers, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey, Ruth Liloqula, has been assigned to supervise the Commissioner of Lands' post.
He said the Cabinet had endorsed Ms. Liloqula's assignment.
He made the statements while clarifying concerns raised by the Opposition Leader, Manasseh Sogavare, who wanted to know how soon work on a police post at KGVI, east Honiara would start.
Dr. Sikua said the Ministry of Public Service will be asked to probe into the allegations against land officers because the Government is determined to cleanse the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey.
