A vehicle was believed to have rammed into the gate where prisoners are brought through for court.
According to Magistrates Court workers, the only possible witness to the accident would have been security officers of the area.
There was no security present for interview.
However, it is believed the driver of the car may have been intoxicated when the accident took place.
The Magistrates Court has reported the matter to the Kukum Traffic Centre police.
A Kukum Traffic officer said the security officers will be called in for questioning regarding the incident.
Solomon Times was informed that the vehicle involved in the accident was believed to be a public transport.
Police are calling on anyone who may have seen anything to come forward and give information.
Investigation is continuing.
