According to New Zealand's One News, TripAdvisor, a travel guide and research website for those wishing to plan a vacation, named the Cook Islands resort as the number one hidden hotel gem with New Zealand, Fiji and Australia completing the list with their hotels.
TripAdvisor is consumer generated, using reviews from the public and other information to help people plan a vacation.

A list of top 10 South Pacific hidden hotel gems issued by American travel company, TripAdvisor, has named the Etu Moana resort on Aitutaki in the Cook Islands as number one.
