This however is not the case for the people of Guadalcanal Province who claim to "have some magic to call for rain".
Solomon Times was informed that calling for rain is a 'secret black magic' that some people of the province possess.
"We call it 'savuru'," a custom man from North Guadalcanal revealed.
According to the custom man, the savuru is commonly used to stop something from happening, especially on developments that is not in the people's favour.
But then it is not always the savuru that brings forth rain "because sometimes it sure does come down naturally", the custom man explained to Solomon Times.
Calling for Rain
To call for rain is next to impossible.
