Australia Sends Condolence
Australia’s Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove has send condolences to the people of Solomon Islands who have been devastated following the April 3 floods which killed 21 people and left thousands homeless.

Sir Peter said he was shocked and saddened to learn of the consequences of the extreme weather conditions affecting Solomon Islands.

In a message to his Solomon Islands counterpart, Sir Frank Kabui on April 4, Sir Peter said he was shocked and saddened to learn of the consequences of the extreme weather conditions affecting Solomon Islands.
“Please accept my condolences on the loss of precious lives and my heartfelt sympathy for those of your people whose homes have been damaged or destroyed,” Sir Peter said.
“On behalf of all Australians, I wish you strength as you deal with this emergency and its all too human dimensions,” Sir Peter added.
