I agree with you guys on the critical shortage of Doctors. I have to be honest in saying that the old days of Hippocrates and Socrates have faded and being a doctor is no longer what it is used to be. Health service has slowly been commercialised and transformed its actors into hedonists, away from the care/mercy banner they once flew around with. In some African countries only 25% of the workforce they so dearly trained remained after graduation. In fact the developed nations are partly responsible for this brain robbery. In Australia a junior registrar gets in 6 weeks what his counterpart gets within 1 whole year in Solomon Islands. That is the only big reason apart from the messy political and bureaucratic nadirs we face frequently. Your suggestion is part of the solution I personally hold.
