Missing $400 million
Dr. Sikua has announced that internal audits have shown that over $400 million dollars of government funds have been 'missapropriated' - i.e. stolen. That's $400 million that could have been spent on roads, schools, hospitals, fees and allowances for overseas students. And yet the government cries poor and holds it's hand out to aid donors.
So who has been sacked over this? Who has been arrested? What has been done to bring the perpetrators to justice? A two day conference will not fix this problem.
